Manual Machinist

We are looking for a skilled tool room machinist who will be responsible for making parts that are utilized throughout the facility. The role involves tapping holes into various blocks, producing difference gauges, and interpreting blueprints to ensure parts are made to tolerance. Operating CNC and manual mills/lathes and utilizing a bridgeport are key components of this role. There is also an opportunity to learn how to operate a wire EDM machine.

• 2+ years of CNC experience with mills and lathes
• Experience in reading and interpreting prints
• Experience with manual machines
• Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, and gauges
• Ability to perform basic shop math

• Experience with wire EDM machines is beneficial

This role is based in a manufacturing facility that maintains a clean environment. While the summers can be warm, the dress code allows for wearing shorts. The grinding room can be noisy due to continuous part grinding. The position operates on the first shift from 6 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with additional hours available when necessary.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South Bend, IN.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
