Associate Dentist — Shoreline Dental Chicago

Shoreline Dental Chicago is hiring an Associate Dentist to join our growing private practice in Chicago’s Streeterville Neighborhood. Start date is flexible, ideally the second week of July.

About us: We’re a doctor-owned, fee-for-service practice established over 7 years ago and continuing to grow. Our office has 8 operatories and a 15-person team, with a loyal patient base, modern technology, and an experienced clinical staff. Our doctors collaborate daily, and we invest heavily in our associates’ growth.

Licensure requirements: Active Illinois dental license, DEA registration, and current CPR/BLS certification.

Important — the first month: Your first month with us will be spent shadowing the owner dentist. This is non-negotiable. Shadowing teaches you the ins and outs of how we run the practice and, most importantly, ensures we’re aligned on how we diagnose and treat patients. We’ve found this onboarding period is what sets our associates up for long-term success — please only apply if you’re genuinely on board with this approach.

Day-to-day procedure mix: After shadowing, your day-to-day work will focus on general restorative dentistry, Invisalign, and cosmetic restorative cases. If those are the areas you’re most excited to build your skills in, this role is a strong fit. If your primary interests lie elsewhere (oral surgery, endo-heavy practice, pediatrics, etc.), this may not be the right match.

Schedule: Approximately 32–36 hours per week. Evenings and weekends are required — our patients prefer to be seen before work, after work, and on weekends, and our schedule reflects that. Please only apply if these hours work for you.

Compensation & structure:

• This is a 1099 independent contractor position
• Daily rate is paid while in training
• Guaranteed daily minimum of $500–$600/day for the first 90 days of Production
• After the guarantee period, pay transitions to a percentage of Adjusted Production (production minus lab and implant part fees); Pay will transition earlier than 90 Days if Adjusted Production Percentage is greater than Daily Minimum
• Tiered percentage structure ranging from 30% to 36%, with the percentage increasing as productivity grows — the more you produce, the more you earn

Our team and technology:

• Robust clinical team including other General Dentists and an in-house Periodontist
• 4 hygienists
• Dedicated assistant for the associate doctor
• Digital X-rays, iTero scanners, CBCT, and an in-house 3D printer

Location: Streeterville, walking distance to the Red Line, Brown Line, and multiple bus routes. Just steps from Northwestern. Paid parking available in the building, with paid street parking nearby.
