Server PositionThe Server provides table service to restaurant patrons by taking orders for food and beverages, delivering orders to the table, and ensuring that patrons have a pleasant dining experience.Physical Requirements:Ability to lift, carry, deliver and/or serve items weighing up to 20-40 pounds throughout an eight-hour shiftAbility to balance serving tray when transferring for food orderAbility to stand and walk continually throughout an eight-hour shiftAbility to bend, stoop and reach for products and itemsAbility to work to various temperature environment, for example low temperature in the refrigerator and high temperature in the cooking areaAbility to work in loud areas, for example, the music for special performance and/or loud noise from the dishwasher machineVisual acuity to see restaurant menus, take customer orders, review customer bills and smoothly navigate dining room, kitchen and other facility areasAbility to attend work as scheduled, working various schedules and shifts throughout normal business hoursEducation / Qualifications:California Food Handler CertificatePrevious server experience is preferredFluent in English / Preferred languages: Mandarin and SpanishResponsibilities:Ensure that all guests are greeted in a timely, friendly, and professional mannerEnsure the table is clean and that utensils, napkins, and other needs have been provided and anticipate guest's needs prior to them askingMaintain in-depth menu knowledge to answer questions and make order suggestions and ensure customers are able to navigate the menu systemDeliver food, beverages, condiments and other as requested by customersEnsures that food is prepared correctly and to customers satisfaction; returns incorrect or improperly cooked orders to kitchenProvide relevant and exceptional service to customers to ensure their satisfactionBe a team player, assisting co-workers whenever needed to ensure customer satisfaction.Prepares customers checks and collects payments.Assists with other restaurant tasks such as cleaning the dining area and preparing silverware and condiments.Performs other related duties as assigned.Requirements:Excellent interpersonal and customer service skillsHardworking, professional dedication, strong interpersonal communication skills, and strong teamwork spiritWell-organized with ability to take and place food and beverage orders accuratelyAbility to operate point-of-sale systemsObtain the California Food Handler CertificateWork ScheduleWeekend availabilityMonday to FridayOther
