We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Agent to join our growing team. This role is responsible for managing the buyer | purchasing process from order placement through fulfillment, building strong vendor relationships, negotiating competitive pricing, and ensuring timely delivery of products. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and excels at coordinating with suppliers, customers, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create, process, and manage purchase orders with suppliers, vendors, and manufacturers.
• Coordinate product procurement and fulfillment to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to maximize value and cost savings.
• Maintain strong relationships with vendors and manufacturers while monitoring supplier performance.
• Track and follow up on order status, shipments, backorders, and delivery schedules.
• Process and distribute purchase orders, invoices, and related purchasing documentation.
• Review and analyze purchasing reports and ad hoc data to support business decisions.
• Ensure customer requirements are accurately communicated and executed, including:
• Product specifications and configurations
• Quantity increases or decreases
• Split shipments and multiple orders
• Special customer requirements
• Multiple shipping locations
• Serve as a liaison between suppliers, customers, sales teams, and internal departments regarding order status, updates, delays, and fulfillment issues.
• Resolve purchasing and fulfillment discrepancies while maintaining a high level of customer service.
• Maintain accurate records and data within company systems and purchasing platforms.

Qualifications Required:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building abilities.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving and follow-up skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
