Corporate Communications Specialist

Position Purpose Creates strategic communication campaigns to support internal and external communication strategies for all Republic Airways Holdings Inc. brands, with the goal to attract and retain the best aviation talent. Content creation includes but is not limited to managing all organic social media accounts, email campaigns and newsletters, internal company updates and features, Associate spotlights, digital signage, external communication efforts, marketing, and departmental memos with the intention of engaging and informing current and prospective Associates and students. Essential Duties Create and Support Social Media content, including engaging with and monitoring social media channels as necessary. Support strategy and content for recruitment-based email drip campaigns as well as regularly distributed newsletters, benchmarking success of campaigns in their goal to attract prospective students and jobseekers. Proactively seek and build relationships with Associates and students to share features, highlights, Q&A, and other creative content for internal and external communication efforts that highlight culture and engagement along with their unique contributions to and experience with Republic Airways, LIFT Academy, Bridge Air, Brickyard Connection, and the aviation community. Create and distribute bi-weekly digest of company-wide updates to all Associates and students that features content created by the communications specialist and contributed content by departments. Create and distribute monthly LIFT Newsletter to flight school prospects. Support Media Room recording of videocasts, including assisting in recording, editing, and distributing the final product. Support department leaders with communication efforts to their teams and to the wider company that could include memos, intranet articles, or external features. Manage intranet platforms and the platform strategy with updated content featuring information and features relevant for Associates and students across all departments while training departmental intranet admins on intranet tools. Contribute to external website updates and content creation. Monitor and support the protection of brand usage for internal and external customers of all uses of Republic and LIFT assets and brand guidelines, as necessary. Continuously improve communication efforts by developing internal communication KPIs and capturing and analyzing appropriate data/metrics, insights, and best practices, producing meaningful reports on the data, and acting on the information. May assist in coordinating video and photo shoots along with communication staff members for internal and external communication efforts. Contribute content for press releases, magazine articles, blog features, webinars, social media as necessary, and more. Assist in content editing for all content that requires approval by the Corporate Communications team for both LIFT and Republic. Seek ways to promote Republic and LIFT’s brands through communication efforts with local, national, and industry-related organizations. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability necessary to perform this job. Education and/or Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communications or related area or combination of education and experience. 2 to 3 years of experience in journalism, internal communications, or related field. Experience sourcing and managing content development and publishing. Knowledge of branding and brand protection. Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, their respective participants (Facebook, X, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.), and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios. Strong skills with creative applications, such as Adobe Cloud and Canva products. Strong consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation, and communication skills. Ability to manage vendor relationships. Ability to work at a fast pace with minimum supervision while managing multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to work well with others and across multiple departments. Positive attitude, detail, and customer-oriented with good multitasking and organizational ability. Microsoft SharePoint and Word Press knowledge and experience preferred. Demonstrable social analytics tools knowledge. Familiarity with Google Ad Words and Analytics. Language Skills Strong writing and reading skills are required. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other associates of the organization. Reasoning / Problem Solving Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations. Decision Making Makes decisions and determines the best methods to solve problems by referring to established precedents and policies. The impact of decisions is moderately low. Able to work with confidential materials and information. Physical Demands Able To Move About The Work Environment. Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear. Work Environment Typical noise level of an indoor office environment. Travel Requirements Travel up to 15% of the time, including overnight stays.
