Description

American Traveler is hiring a Pre-Operative RN for a 13-week day shift assignment requiring NM or compact RN licensure and ACLS certification.

Details

• Pre-Operative unit within a hospital surgical setting
• Day shift schedule, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts
• 2:1 nurse to patient ratio
• Uses EPIC EMR system
• On-call requirement of 1-2 call nights per week from end of shift to 2200
• Floating required across locations
• No weekend requirement
• Blocked scheduling accommodated

Requirements

• Active NM RN license or compact state RN license required
• BLS certification from AHA required
• ACLS certification from AHA required
• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience

Additional Information

• Coordinates and implements pre-operative patient care tailored to patient age and needs
• Performs initial and ongoing patient assessments to identify care priorities and trends
• Develops, implements, and evaluates individualized care plans per nursing standards
• Performs various point-of-care testing procedures
• Participates in patient and family education and discharge planning
• Dress code requires pewter scrubs
• Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius for local consideration
• Previous CHRISTUS Health System employees must have a 6-month separation before being eligible for this travel assignment
