The Role (read this part carefully) This job is full-time on-site in Canoga Park, CA. This is not an IT job, and it is not a “prompt the chatbot” job. You will build and ship real features into a live ERP that runs our entire business — by directing AI coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, and whatever lands next) rather than hand-typing every line. We call it vibe coding: you describe the outcome, the AI writes the code, and you drive it — review, correct, verify, and ship. Here’s the part most people miss: generating code is the easy part now. The AI does that. The job is judgment. When an AI hands you 200 confident-looking lines that touch live inventory, customer orders, or money, your value is knowing how to prove it’s right before it ships — and knowing what to do when it’s wrong. Our system can’t afford to “lose” inventory or break a deploy because something merely compiled. Around here, “done” means the real result is proven — the database row, the API response, the actual screen — not that the code ran without an error. If you get a genuine thrill from turning “I wish the system could just do X” into a working tool by end of day — and you’re the kind of person who double-checks that the thing actually worked instead of assuming it did — this is your role. What You’ll Actually Do Build & ship — the majority of the job Take ideas (often dictated out loud by leadership) and carry them all the way to a shipped, verified feature in our ERP. Direct AI agents to write, refactor, and debug across a real production stack: TypeScript / NestJS, PostgreSQL, and a React front end. Ship surgically and safely into a live system — small, verified changes, not big risky rewrites. Automate the repetitive, manual work that quietly eats hours across every department. Debug real problems, improve performance, and make the tools people rely on every day faster and clearer. Push the edge Track where AI is heading (it moves weekly) and pull the useful parts into how we build and operate. Prototype fast, prove value, keep what works, kill what doesn’t. Lift the team — a lighter, but real, part of the job Help teammates get genuinely good at using AI in their own work. Leave behind the docs, patterns, and examples that make the whole company sharper. What Success Looks Like (First Year) You’ve shipped multiple AI-built tools that people across the company use every single day. You’ve measurably cut repetitive manual work through automation. You’ve expanded what our ERP can do — without breaking what already worked. Teammates reach for AI on their own, because you made it approachable. “How could this be done better?” becomes a question the whole company asks — because you keep answering it. Who You Are We care about judgment and initiative far more than degrees or years logged. No CS degree required. What we’re actually looking for: You’ve built things — software, automations, scripts, side projects — and shipped them, not just started them. A GitHub, a portfolio, or a “here’s a thing I made and here’s how I know it works” story beats a polished résumé. You’re fluent with (or hungry to master) AI building tools like Claude, Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT, Copilot, or Gemini. You verify. When something is “done,” you’ve checked the real result — not assumed it. You move fast without being reckless. You know the difference between asking about direction and asking permission for every step. You communicate clearly with engineers and with people who’ve never written a line of code. Bonus: you find a complex, physical, real-world business — remanufacturing automotive electronics — more interesting than a generic SaaS app. There’s a genuinely deep domain to learn here, and that’s exactly what makes the software matter. A Note About Our Interview Process: Candidates selected to move forward will be asked to share at least one example of something they've built using AI. This could be a tool, automation, application, workflow, or personal project.
