Medical Receptionist

Our busy cardiology practice is seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our patient-focused team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a medical office setting, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage a fast-paced front desk environment with professionalism and efficiency. Experience with Practice Fusion and CollaborateMD is highly preferred. Key Responsibilities: Greet and check in patients in a courteous and professional manner. Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments. Verify patient insurance eligibility and obtain necessary authorizations. Collect co-pays, coinsurance, and outstanding balances. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the EMR system. Answer incoming calls and respond to patient inquiries. Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow. Process referrals, medical records requests, and other administrative tasks. Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of medical front desk/receptionist experience required (cardiology experience preferred). Strong knowledge of insurance verification and authorization processes. Proficiency in electronic medical records; experience with PracticeFusion and CollaborateMD highly preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
