Position Summary

The Staffing Coordinator, HR and Hiring Manager provides executive leadership over the facility’s workforce operations, combining clinical scheduling management with human resources and talent acquisition strategy. This role is responsible for ensuring optimal daily staffing levels, driving recruitment and retention initiatives, managing employee relations, and maintaining labor budget compliance in coordination with facility leadership.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Recruitment: Direct full-cycle recruitment and talent acquisition strategies to build a pipeline of qualified healthcare professionals. Oversee job postings, interviewing, and selection.

• Workforce & Schedule Management: Oversee the development and execution of daily shift schedules to ensure the facility meets safe, mandatory staffing ratios.

• Labor Cost & Agency Control: Monitor and analyze labor metrics, including attendance trends, overtime accumulation, and external agency utilization to optimize cost containment.

• Human Resources & Compliance: Manage employee relations, performance evaluation processes, disciplinary actions, and HR policy enforcement. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and healthcare employment laws.

• Onboarding & Retention: Oversee the orientation and onboarding process for new hires, including facility tours, and implement strategic initiatives to improve employee retention.

• Payroll & Leave Administration: Collaborate with the Payroll Manager to audit hours and verify payroll accuracy. Review and manage employee vacation and leave-of-absence requests.

• Executive Reporting: Maintain and present comprehensive metrics on staffing, turnover, recruitment costs, and regulatory compliance to the leadership team.

Preferred:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent senior-level experience accepted.

• Experience: 2 years of director-level experience managing HR, recruitment, and high-volume scheduling, ideally within a nursing home or healthcare environment.

• Compliance Knowledge: Deep understanding of healthcare labor standards, Department of Health (DOH) staffing mandates, and employment regulations.

• Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in HRIS, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and digital scheduling software.
