Project Manager

Project ManagerGibson Electric Co. seeks a Project Manager who will manage and/or estimate electrical construction projects and assist with larger projects and general work load of project management staff.Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesMonitor and control contractual requirements of assigned projects ensuring that key field and support staff positions are adequate and perform in accordance with required assignments and deadlines.Monitor and control financial aspects of project contracts including materials purchasing, Change Order initiation and implementation, cost to complete analysis, income and expenses, labor, etc. to ensure projects remain within established budget.Ensure that project materials, equipment, and tools are ordered and delivered timely.Partner with client, architectural, engineering, other departments, and trades to facilitate critical path and project completion.Prepare complete new project estimate packages for small to medium jobs under supervision of preconstruction or senior project managers.Develop, monitor, and control project objectives, procedures, and performance standards within boundaries of Company policy.Prepare and present work in progress reports monthly or as required by senior management.Represent company in assigned project meetings.Ensure site personnel comply with all safety plans and programs and work rules as required by company policy and contract.Job SpecificationsFour-year engineering or construction management degree or the equivalent combined education and field supervisory experience.Working knowledge of construction contract language.Working knowledge of electrical design, estimate packages, and implementation.Demonstrated ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.Thorough understanding and application of industry practices, processes, standards, and their impact on project activities.Ability to thoroughly understand and apply company policies, procedures, business ethics, and work standards.Superior communications and interpersonal skills.Knowledge of CONEST estimating software or ability to learn.Knowledge of Vista Viewpoint software or ability to learnKnowledge of Bluebeam PDF software or ability to learnWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office applicationsWorking knowledge or the ability to learn Outlook electronic mailAbility to work with minimal supervision and perform against accelerated deadlines.Accountability and MeasurementPartner with field Superintendents to ensure that personnel perform as required.Revenue and Profit Goals as identified by Executive Vice President & COO of OperationsCompensation Range: $85K - $135K based on qualifications and experienceOther Compensation: This position is bonus eligibleBenefits: We are committed to providing employees a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, along with flexible spending accounts, life insurance, disability, a 401(k) Savings Plan, College Coach and employee assistance program.
