Position - Data Scientist – Engineering (Cloud & Agentic AI)
Location - Basking Ridge, NJ (Onsite position)
Long term position

Pay rate - $45/hr on W2/Danta Technologies payroll. We cannot sponsor for this position. Looking for independent candidates.

Looking for a strong individual contributor who can independently own and deliver end-to-end solutions with minimal guidance or support.

Job Summary
We are seeking a Data Scientist – Engineering (Cloud & Agentic AI) with strong software engineering and cloud development expertise. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and deploy scalable AI/ML solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using Python . This role focuses on building production-grade AI applications, integrating Agentic AI capabilities, and implementing modern DevOps and cloud engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML applications using Python .
• Build scalable, cloud-native AI solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) .
• Develop and maintain production-ready APIs, microservices, and AI workflows.
• Integrate and optimize Agentic AI solutions using Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using Git and Jenkins for automated deployments.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to build secure, scalable, and reliable cloud applications.
• Optimize application performance, reliability, and cloud resource utilization.
• Follow software engineering best practices, including code reviews, testing, version control, and documentation.
• Stay current with emerging AI, cloud, and engineering technologies.

Required Skills

• Strong programming experience in Python
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Experience with Git and version control workflows
• CI/CD pipeline development using Jenkins
• Experience building Agentic AI or Generative AI applications
• Strong software engineering fundamentals
• Experience developing cloud-native applications and services
• Knowledge of REST APIs, microservices, and cloud deployment best practices

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Vertex AI and GCP AI services
• Familiarity with AI orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph , LangChain , or CrewAI (nice to have)
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of MLOps and cloud-based AI deployment
