The Center on Aging and Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our dedicated team in Erwin. This full-time, on-site position offers an exceptional opportunity for entry-level professionals to play a vital role in delivering quality care to our residents, including veterans and their families.

Located conveniently approximately 20 minutes from Johnson City, Tennessee, and 40 minutes from Asheville, North Carolina, we pride ourselves on fostering a familial atmosphere where every staff member is valued. We offer a competitive salary range of $25.50 - $34.60 hourly, along with comprehensive benefits and a supportive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to residents in accordance with established care plans
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Monitor and document residents' health status and vital signs
• Assist in daily living activities to ensure residents’ comfort and well-being
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members
• Participate in care plan meetings and contribute to resident assessments
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and standards

Requirements

• Valid LPN license in the state of Tennessee
• Completion of an accredited practical nursing program
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Basic computer skills for documentation and communication
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
• Willingness to learn and grow within the healthcare field
