Atlas Technical Project Manager- Structures

As the Structures Technical Project Manager for a new product team you will help coordinate the development lifecycle of robotics structure, cabling, and paneling from early stage design coordination to mass production. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including mechanical and electrical engineers as well as stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of new designs. You will work with the Program Manager, Hardware Design Managers, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and engineering leads to build comprehensive project plans, which align resources and budgets with project scope, as well as ensuring risks are identified and mitigated. You’ll work closely with mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, and systems engineering teams to ensure timely delivery of robust, manufacturable, and performance-optimized humanoid structural components, including primary structure, external paneling, and internal cabling systems.The role is a unique opportunity to be part of the big picture of a next generation product.Day-to-day activities:Work with functional leads to establish a schedule within the master program schedule and track performanceCoordinate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverablesUse resource planning to identify bottlenecks, unblock them, and adjust schedules accordinglyContinually track projects and update stakeholders on top priorities and the critical pathProactively identify and mitigate risks to project delivery, and implement effective contingency plans when necessaryCoordinate with Supply Chain to ensure on-time delivery of all critical componentsCoordinate design reviews to ensure all required deliverables meet high engineering standards, enabling a seamless transition from development to manufacturingEnsure rigorous documentation, change control, and versioning of structural components and associated cable harnessesRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.5+ years of experience in engineering design2+ years of prior experience in project management on a complex shipping product, preferably in robotics or automotiveDeep experience interacting with all elements of the Product Design and New Product Introduction process including design engineering stages, verification and validation, compliance, quality engineering, manufacturing logistics, and marketing.Excellent project management and communication skills. Be comfortable with scheduling, milestones, tracking, and helping drive meetings to obtain consensus.
