Sr. Project Manager, Construction

The Sr. Project Manager, Construction oversees the development, procurement, and construction of utility-scale solar energy projects, ensuring safety, schedule, and budget adherence while coordinating cross-functional teams from early-stage development through commercial operation. Key Responsibilities Support day-to-day construction team functions from development through commercial operation Manage procurement processes and support EPC contracting from bidding to agreement execution Coordinate engineering, design, and technical review for project diligence and sign-off Ensure safety standards are prioritized during construction activities Identify and mitigate potential cost impacts and schedule delays Lead project activities on-site, representing Avantus and maintaining communication with stakeholders Maintain accurate project internal accounting, cashflow, and reporting for lenders and sponsors Support project development by coordinating engineering and cost estimating teams Develop and monitor project budgets, schedules, and milestone timelines Travel to project sites and offices as needed to fulfill job duties Requirements Bachelor's Degree in engineering, business, or construction management At least 5 years of EPC management and contracting experience, preferably in solar development or utility infrastructure projects Experience working for a utility-scale solar developer or an Independent Power Producer (IPP) Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to evaluate priorities and multi-task accordingly while keeping others informed of status with respect to deadlines Ability to identify problems and discrepancies, independently perform research and analysis of causes, and recommend corrective actions Ability to work on multiple projects across various design and construction phases Must be detail-oriented and results-oriented with the ability to work in a cross-functional, fast-paced, and constantly evolving environment, including extended hours as required Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Ability to focus on the big picture under pressure Self-starter and quick learner with the ability to take on tasks with general directions and guidance Positive and growth-oriented mindset Willingness to travel to job sites and offices as necessary to complete job duties Competitive compensation with an excellent benefits package 401(k) matching Comprehensive medical and dental plan options #J-18808-Ljbffr NextGenEnergyJobs
