Global Payments Events Manager and Data Management Lead, Associate

Overview The Global Payments Events team is dedicated to delivering exceptional client events. As an Event Associate on the Global Payments Team, you will play a key role in supporting and driving the event strategy across North America. In this position, you will work closely with Event Managers and Payments Sales Teams to manage, analyze and report on attendee data related to events, as well as support the team to execute impactful events, leveraging both strong data analytics and hands‑on coordination skills. You will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a particular focus on data management and analysis for high‑level national and global events. Approximately 50% of your time will be focused on individual event management, supporting event managers, and 50% on cross‑team data, reporting, and business management / process projects for the Head of Payments Events. Job Responsibilities Understand the business objectives and support the Payments Events team in the development of event programming to deliver successful events. Manage pre‑sponsorship/event responsibilities, including: Lead invitation and RSVP tracking processes, including invitation creation, testing and distribution, ensuring timely and accurate attendee communications. Own RSVP lists from multiple data sources (CRMs and registration portals) to ensure accuracy and completeness (pre and post‑event). Build and maintain project plans and operational documents, including invoices and budget tracking. Write and manage internal communications. Create host/sales and speaker briefing documents. Coordinate with content and social media teams on associated marketing materials; partner with marketing COEs to execute (email, digital, social). Lead production elements such as project plans, venue research and contracting, catering, audiovisual requirements, event collateral creation, name badge production, and packing/shipping. Provide onsite support, including liaising with venue, A/V teams, and speakers, and managing registration. Manage post‑sponsorship/event responsibilities, including: Draft materials and participate in debrief calls with partner organizations and the business/steering committee. Aggregate data and analyze programs for effectiveness and ROI in partnership with the business and marketing centers of excellence (digital, communications, etc.). Analyze RSVP trends, attendance patterns, and engagement metrics to inform event strategy. Finalize event reporting, including budget actuals and audit record retention. Collect, clean, and validate event‑related data from multiple sources (RSVPs, attendee lists, registration platforms). Scrub and maintain event lists to ensure accuracy and completeness. Generate and distribute RSVP reports before, during, and after events. Respond to data requests and support ad‑hoc analysis for special projects. Work closely with Event Managers and Head of Payments Events to provide data‑driven insights and recommendations. Assist the team with updating the Event Budget Tracker and other calendar and CRM systems as needed. Assist in developing scorecards for select high‑profile events. Assist with the annual budget and quarterly business review process, including aggregating tracker data and building detailed PowerPoint summaries. Assist with other special projects as directed by the Global Head of Payments. Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills Bachelor’s degree required; 3+ years of experience in marketing or events. Exceptional organizational skills and extreme attention to detail. Demonstrated flexibility and ability to adapt to changing priorities; must be able to multi‑task and work under tight deadlines. Strong work ethic and sense of personal accountability, professionalism, integrity, and judgment. Excellent prioritization skills and ability to communicate clearly across a variety of stakeholders. Effective written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with internal and external stakeholders. Strong ability to navigate and analyze complex data. Experience with AI tools such as Co‑Pilot and LLM platforms. Some early mornings, late evenings and travel (~25%). Exceptional Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, advanced formulas), Word, and PowerPoint, as well as hands‑on experience with various CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tools. Experience building and maintaining dashboards (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and recurring performance reporting. Comfortable with data cleaning, QA, reconciliation, and maintaining a single source of truth across RSVP/registration/CRM systems. Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills Strong communication and storytelling skills; ability to translate analysis into concise insights, recommendations, and executive‑ready summaries. Strong process and project governance skills: strong documentation habits, version control of metrics definitions, and adherence to data privacy/controls.
