Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 16:30)

Monday - Friday + One weekend day per month throughout their contract.

Minimum of 1 year OT at Acute Hospital

BLS, IN state license, NBCOT

Cerner Experience preferred

Inpatient acute care rehab team of 19 professionals. Expect to see patients in all levels of acuity from ICU to progressive care units with diagnoses of CABG & other cardiac procedures, stroke, TBI, joint replacement, fracture repairs, respiratory illnesses, dementia, MS, Parkinson, ambulation, etc. OT is expected to evaluate, develop and follow POC that may include ADL training, therapeutic exercises, therapeutic activities to improve function and assess appropriateness of discharge disposition recommendations on a daily basis.

Special Procedures/Unit Details: Inpatient acute care rehab team of 19 rehab professionals. Expect to see patients in all levels of acuity from ICU to progressive care units with diagnoses of CABG & other cardiac procedures, stroke, TBI, joint replacements, fracture repairs, respiratory illnesses, dementia, MS, Parkinson, amputation etc. OT is expected to evaluate, develop and follow POC that may include ADL training, therapeutic exercises, therapeutic activities to improve function and to assess appropriateness of discharge disposition recommendation on a daily basis. Supervise and guide COTAs with POC. Work with the team to manage daily caseload, attend multidisciplinary rounds and complete documentation daily. Experience in managing high acuity ICU/PCU is preferred.

Background Policy to be noted prior to submission so we can seek approval prior to offer

Any PERM or PRN employee of IU must be away for 12 months before applying as a traveler

Consecutive Contract Policy: Current or past IU travelers who have accrued 12 months of travel employment anywhere within IU Health are required to take a designated break to reset travel eligibility effective 2/24/26. This break must be taken in one consecutive period and cannot be split up under any circumstances. Please see AM for additional clarification if needed.

Out-of-state residents: require a 3 month/90 day break to reset eligibility prior to the traveler’s year mark

In-state residents require a 6 month/180 day break to reset eligibility prior to the traveler’s year mark
