Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Must-Have: High risk antepartum experience Labor and delivery experience C-section experience Experience with magnesium drips Description: Join a dedicated team in a high-risk obstetrical unit. The unit features 25 beds with patient ratios of 1:1 to 6:1. There is a charge nurse or clinical nurse coordinator on each shift, supported by a unit secretary when possible. Equipment used includes a documentation system for efficient patient management. Staff members must be able to circulate during C-sections and have labor and delivery experience. Patients requiring care may include those on magnesium drips and gynecological patients. Advanced skills such as ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN certifications are required. Procedures performed on the unit include C-sections, vaginal deliveries, and bereavement care. The dress code consists of navy blue, seal blue, and grey scrubs.
