Founding Engineer

Berkley Hunt is partnering with an early‑stage AI startup building agentic software products from the ground up. They’re looking for a Founding Full‑Stack Engineer to join a small, high‑calibre team working directly with the founders to shape both the product and technical direction of the company. Backed by high profile VC's, alongside operators and investors from leading technology companies, the team is already working with paying customers and moving quickly toward the next stage of growth. This is a genuine 0‑1 engineering role with high ownership, fast iteration, and the opportunity to have a major impact on both the product and company trajectory. What You’ll Do Build and ship full‑stack product features from concept through production Work directly with the founders on product and technical decisions Design and maintain backend systems, infrastructure, and integrations Collaborate on AI‑driven workflows and product experiences Help shape engineering culture and technical direction from an early stage Move quickly and pragmatically in a fast‑moving startup environment What We’re Looking For 5+ years of software engineering experience, ideally within startup environments Strong full‑stack engineering experience building and shipping products end‑to‑end Experience with modern backend and frontend frameworks Comfortable working in ambiguity and solving problems without perfect requirements Bias toward action and ownership Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset Kotlin + Spring Boot React + NextJS GCP + Terraform Hybrid in the San Francisco Bay Area Small, highly technical engineering team #J-18808-Ljbffr
