Material Handler / Forklift OperatorWe're looking for a Material Handler / Forklift Operator to join our team! If you have forklift experience and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, this could be a great opportunity for you.In this role, you'll help keep production running by safely moving materials, supporting inventory accuracy, and supplying materials where they're needed.What You'll DoSafely operate forklifts and other material handling equipmentLoad, unload, move, and store materials throughout the facilitySupply materials to production teams to keep operations running smoothlyUse RF scanners, tablets, and computers to track inventory and material movementReceive and organize incoming shipmentsComplete inventory transactions and maintain accurate recordsAssist with picking, packing, and shipping tasks as neededKeep work areas clean, organized, and safeInspect equipment and report any damage or safety concernsFollow all company safety procedures and guidelinesWhat We're Looking ForAt least 1 year of forklift operating experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environmentExperience receiving, storing, and moving materialsComfortable using scanners, tablets, or inventory tracking systemsStrong attention to detail and commitment to safetyAbility to work independently and stay productiveGood communication and teamwork skillsReliable and dependable work ethicPreferred QualificationsExperience with SwingMast, narrow-aisle, or heavy-duty forkliftsInventory control or material tracking experiencePicking and packing experienceExperience identifying and resolving inventory discrepanciesPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 45 lbs independentlyAbility to frequently move, carry, push, or pull heavier materials with team supportComfortable standing and walking for extended periodsAbility to bend, kneel, crouch, climb stairs, and work throughout the facilityComfortable working in a manufacturing environment that may be warm, cold, and noisyWork EnvironmentThis position is based in a busy manufacturing facility where teamwork, safety, and reliability are highly valued. You'll spend most of your day operating forklifts, moving materials, and supporting production teams while working with scanners, tablets, and inventory systems.Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shawnee, KS.Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $18.70 - $18.70/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
