Logistics Coordinator - FMCG

About the Role Our client, a significant player in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry, is seeking an organized and proactive Logistics Coordinator to manage and optimize transportation and distribution activities from their operations in Paarl, Western Cape . This role is key to ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of products to customers and distributors. You will be responsible for coordinating shipments, managing carrier relationships, tracking inventory, and ensuring compliance with logistics regulations. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the smooth running of a vital supply chain. Key Responsibilities Coordinate daily logistics operations, including shipment scheduling, tracking, and documentation. Manage relationships with transportation providers, negotiating rates and ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met. Monitor inventory levels and ensure efficient stock management within warehouses. Plan and optimize delivery routes to ensure timely and cost-effective distribution. Troubleshoot and resolve any logistical issues or delays that may arise. Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and customs requirements. Requirements Proven experience in logistics , transportation coordination, or supply chain management, preferably in FMCG . Strong understanding of logistics operations, shipping procedures, and inventory management. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Proficiency in logistics software and MS Office Suite. Good communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
