Accounting Manager / Assistant Controller — Machinery Manufacturing Company
A growing machinery manufacturing company in the Bay Area is looking for an Accounting Manager / Assistant Controller to own day-to-day accounting and support the finance lead.
What You'll Do
- Manage full month-end and year-end close
- Own accounting accuracy for inventory, WIP, and cost of sales in a manufacturing ERP
- Lead an AP/AR team, including process and escalation ownership
- Manage fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and journal entries
- Support tax season, audits, and monthly sales tax review
- Deliver budget-vs-actual reporting to department managers
- Build documented processes where none currently exist
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience, including 2-3 years in a leadership role
- Manufacturing or inventory-based accounting experience required
- Strong Excel and ERP experience
- CPA or CMA a plus, not required
Compensation: $130,000-$150,000/yr
