High School Math Teacher

The Park Rapids High Schools is seeking a dedicated and passionate High School Math Teacher to join our team at Park Rapids High School. This position will teach 7-12 Math, with an emphasis on grades 7/8. The ideal candidate would also have a 7/8 science license or willingness to obtain an Out Of Field permission and teach 7/8 science. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. This full-time position involves teaching a variety of math courses, engaging students in critical thinking, and promoting a love for mathematics. The successful candidate will collaborate with colleagues, communicate effectively with parents, and contribute to the overall development of students. Responsibilities Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles. Teach a range of high school math courses, including Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Calculus. Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and projects, providing constructive feedback. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement. Utilize technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance the learning experience. Collaborate with fellow educators to develop interdisciplinary projects and initiatives. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student performance and progress. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and advancements in mathematics education. Supervise and mentor students during extracurricular activities, such as math clubs or competitions. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other required documentation. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred. Valid teaching license or certification in Mathematics for high school level. Strong knowledge of mathematical concepts and ability to convey complex ideas in an understandable manner. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues. Experience in teaching high school mathematics is preferred. Proficiency in using educational technology and software to enhance instruction. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for teaching mathematics.
