Controller

ABOUT THE ROLE The Controller is responsible for all accounting-related activities, including oversight of its operating budget, financial reporting systems, and managing Finance Team Members. RESPONSIBILITIES Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programs, adhering to national and local legal standards while remaining knowledgeable of proposed legislation. Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows. Oversee and support accounting team with dynamic leadership that creates an environment of trust and productivity. Provide comprehensive financial updates to management by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data points. Guide financial decisions by applying company policies and procedures to current economic landscape. EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field required. REQUIREMENTS 7-12+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience. Minimum 3-5 years of leadership experience in a Controller, Assistant Controller, Finance Manager, or similar role. Manufacturing accounting experience required. Bilingual (Spanish/English) is required. Automotive or industrial manufacturing experience is strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of cost accounting and standard costing methodologies. Experience with inventory control and variance analysis. Understanding of plant-level financial reporting and operational KPIs. Proven budgeting and forecasting experience.Knowledge of internal controls and SOX compliance principles. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Advanced Microsoft Excel and ERP system experience. PREFERRED ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Certified Management Accountant (CMA) Experience in a Tier 1 automotive manufacturing environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
