Sign On Bonus Available The Occupational Therapist evaluates and treats disabilities, injuries, and disease using manual therapy, modalities, and exercises, and provides education and consulting services. The therapist complies with all regulatory, professional, ethical, quality improvement, and facility standards, performs charting and patient progress notes, and supervises, trains, and assists department personnel. The therapist serves in a multidisciplinary capacity for a wide variety of populations, including pediatric, medical/surgical, orthopedics, and outpatient, with homecare services that may increase travel frequency. Essential Key Job Responsibilities Patient care, including evaluation and treatment of patients referred by providers. Provides appropriate supervision for Occupational Therapist Assistants and support personnel. Completes documentation related to patient care in a timely manner. Participates in and provides educational in‑services for staff and providers. Collaborates with the healthcare team and provides professional recommendations regarding patient care. Participates in patient‑related care coordination activities (e.g., care conferences). Positive promotion of the department and profession within the hospital/clinic and the community. Requirements Degree from a baccalaureate, master’s, or doctoral program in occupational therapy approved by an accredited organization. Licensed to practice as an Occupational Therapist within the State of North Dakota. Two years of relevant experience as an occupational therapist. Current CPR certification. Current North Dakota driver’s license. Preferred Community/home health experience.
