Director of Operations (New York)

Amulet is on a mission to find star players for the next generation of startups. We are looking for a Director of Operations to lead US expansion for Peep Club - the #1 optometrist-recommended eye care brand in the UK.

Peep Club picks up where your vision test leaves off - we protect your eye health with our innovative cosmetic solutions. Our mission is to be a treat, not just a treatment for eyes. We launched in 2020 with a highly curated product line focused on tackling dry eyes. A growing problem that affects 70%+ of adults thanks to our dependence on screens – you blink 6-8x less when you look at a screen. Our products are clinically proven, yes, but also beautiful and uncompromisingly clean. This approach has earned Peep Club the backing of beauty editors and doctors alike, plus 15+ beauty industry awards. 

Who We are Looking For

Energetic, enthusiastic and high agency people looking to build at an early stage CPG! 

• 2-8 years of experience in consulting, finance, or at an early CPG company
• Meaningful exposure to startups - you know what it looks like when there's no playbook. Prior experience in scaling a brand is a plus!
• Strong bias towards action and execution
• Self starter who thrives in little structure
• Strong data and analytics mindset. Excels at building forecasts, inventory models and dashboards. Uses data to inform decision making
• A genuine love for building systems. Excited about using AI to build the operational infrastructure of the business
• Humility, self awareness and curiosity

What You'll Own

The Director of Operations will build the operational foundation that allows Peep Club to scale and own day to day supply chain logistics. 

• Own and scale Peep Club's end-to-end supply chain, managing the flow of product from raw materials and components through manufacturing, packaging, warehousing, and delivery to DTC customers, retail, and professional partners
• Build and manage supplier, contract manufacturer, 3PL, and freight relationships, and set an operations strategy that balances cost, speed, quality, and resilience
• Lead demand forecasting and inventory planning with Finance, Marketing, and Product, and ensure operational readiness for every product launch
• Own product launch readiness from an operational standpoint, managing timelines, minimum order quantities, lead times, and packaging and labeling execution to ensure new products reach market on schedule
• Drive cost efficiency and margin improvement, tracking COGS, landed costs, freight, and fulfillment costs, and identifying opportunities to improve unit economics without compromising quality
• Own quality and regulatory compliance, partnering with internal teams and external advisors to meet FDA and US requirements
• Select, implement, and optimize operational systems, such as inventory management, ERP, order management, and customer service platforms, to improve visibility, accuracy, and efficiency across the business
• Build and lead customer service operations and automating processes with agentic workflows
• Operate as a senior, hands-on operations leader, comfortable moving between strategy and execution
