Molecular Medical Technologist
Eurofins Agroscience Services North Carolina
Eurofins seeks a Molecular Medical Technologist to perform laboratory testing, maintain specialized equipment, and ensure accurate result reporting. The role involves nucleic acid analysis, quality control activities, and adherence to regulatory standards in a clinical diagnostics setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory tests including nucleic acid isolation, PCR, qPCR, microarrays, and NGS on patient samples
- Operate and maintain molecular laboratory equipment; troubleshoot instrument issues and perform routine maintenance
- Prepare reagents, perform extractions, conduct quality control measures, and manage inventory
- Maintain accurate records following Good Documentation Practices and document protocol deviations
- Assist in training laboratory staff and recommend process improvements for efficiency
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or related field
- ASCP, AMT, AAB, or equivalent certification
- Minimum 1 year laboratory experience; clinical laboratory experience preferred
- Proficiency with micropipettes, dilutions, and safe sample/reagent handling
- Knowledge of CAP, CLIA, FDA, and OSHA compliance standards
- Experience with molecular testing equipment (KingFisher, Hamilton, MiSeq, Agilent Bravo preferred)
- Authorization to work in United States without sponsorship
