Distribution Associate II- Sitdown ForkliftHiring a Distribution Associate to assist with warehouse distribution. The best fit is someone that has general warehouse, forklift, shipping/receiving experience. The company is a global manufacturer and distributor of climate control products for the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration markets. They use this staffing model to convert workers to full time employees. LOCATION: Farmingdale, NY 11735 POSITION: Right to Hire PAY RATE: $22.00 per hour HOURS: 7:30am to 4:30pm (may be adjusted by truck arrival) DUTIES:Able to operate powered equipment such as forklift.Under general supervision, performs manual and clerical duties related to the shipment and receipt of materials, supplies, equipment and finished products.Receives goods, verifies items against the record of shipment, and inspects condition.Gathers, verifies, and packs items for shipment according to specifications and the transportation method used. Records received and shipped items according to established procedures.Routes materials, supplies and equipment to inspection or stock areas.Completes written and computerized documentation.REQUIREMENTS:Requires a high school diploma or GED - RequiredForklift experience preferred- sit down electricSAP experience is highly preferredSteel toe bootsDrug testBackground checkABILITIES:Knows typical shipping and receiving procedures and can handle some exceptions.Requires basic reading, writing and numerical ability.Valid driver's license with good driving record may be required.Effective verbal communication skills.Able to lift up to 50 pounds.Pre-Employment Screening:Please note that all offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of a background check and drug screening based on local, state and federal laws in your region.
