Private Equity Real Estate | Partner-Track Opportunity

Cypress Capital Group | : SF Bay Area strongly preferred; NY secondary. No international candidates. | Type: Consulting / contract, with potential full-time transition

About Us

Cypress Capital Group is a boutique private equity real estate firm focused on opportunistic residential investments in supply-constrained, tech-driven markets (Silicon Valley, New York, Austin). We've completed 30+ investments representing $100M+ in realized and unrealized value, with a ~20% historical gross IRR and zero realized losses.

The Role

We're hiring a senior capital raiser to lead fundraising for our next fund and build our long-term investor relations function. This is not a junior cold-calling role — we need someone with 10+ years of experience and trusted, existing relationships across private wealth, family office, RIA, founder, and technology wealth channels.

For the right person, the role can evolve into Head of Capital Formation, Head of Investor Relations, or a Partner-level position with participation in fund economics and firm equity.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a capital formation strategy targeting private wealth, family office, RIA, founder, and tech wealth channels
  • Originate warm conversations with qualified investors able to allocate $250K–$5M+ to private real estate
  • Build and manage the investor pipeline — outreach, meetings, follow-up, and relationship tracking
  • Partner with senior leadership on fundraising strategy, messaging, and pitch materials
  • Represent CCG with investors, family offices, and at industry events

Qualifications

  • 10+ years in capital formation, investor relations, or alternatives distribution
  • An established network of qualified investors — founders, tech executives, HNW individuals, family offices, RIAs, and private investors active in alternatives — capable of writing $250K–$5M+ checks
  • Ability to generate warm introductions; strong grasp of private real estate and investor suitability
  • High integrity, entrepreneurial mindset, and interest in building a long-term platform — not transactional sales

Institutional coverage is not helpful and not required. Not a fit for junior cold-callers, list builders, or marketing-only candidates.

Compensation

Monthly consulting retainer plus performance-based compensation tied to qualified introductions and capital raised. For the right candidate: performance bonuses, future fund economics, carry, potential firm equity, and a path to a full-time leadership or Partner-track role. All arrangements structured in compliance with applicable securities laws.

How to Apply

Email with: (1) cover letter, (2) resume or bio, (3) detailed fundraising track record (investor types, capital raised, asset classes, your role), and (4) a description of your investor network and geographic focus. xhyhwjd Incomplete applications will not be considered.
