Base pay range $250,000.00/yr - $275,000.00/yr Additional compensation types Annual Bonus Associate Recruiter - Medical Device, Biotech, & Pharma Summary: We are working with a Medical Device organization looking for a Director of Machine Learning. If you're passionate about machine learning, neuroscience, and making a measurable difference in people’s lives, this is a unique opportunity to apply your skills in one of the most meaningful applications of AI today. Responsibilities: Own the machine learning roadmap and strategy Build and lead a growing team of engineers Collaborate with clinical teams to design ML systems grounded in real-world needs Develop scalable, auditable, and explainable models for interpreting neural signals Balance short-term deliverables with long-term R&D strategy Represent the ML function across leadership and cross-disciplinary initiatives Qualifications: Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar 8+ years of experience in machine learning or applied research; 3+ years in a leadership role Proven track record in medical devices, defense, aerospace, or automotive industries Deep expertise in time series and high-dimensional signal data Strong track record of developing ML systems for complex, high-dimensional data Proficiency with modern ML tools and frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow) Experience in regulated tech (medical devices, robotics, etc.) Seniority level Director Employment type Full-time Job function Medical Equipment Manufacturing Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Meet Life Sciences by 2x Inferred from the description for this job Medical insurance Vision insurance 401(k) Get notified about new Director of Machine Learning jobs in San Francisco Bay Area .
