Inventory Planner

Job Title: Inventory Planner (Retail Allocation & Merchandising) Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 4 days onsite, 1 day remote) Contract: 12 Months About The Role Aquent is partnering with a global leader in athletic footwear, apparel, and retail innovation to hire an Inventory Planner supporting a specialized retail planning team in Canada. This 12‑month contract will have you helping ensure inventory moves efficiently from distribution centers to stores by maintaining accurate purchase orders, inventory systems, and allocation data. What You’ll Do Support the Allocation Planning team by maintaining inventory accuracy across multiple retail systems. Upload and manage purchase orders while ensuring distribution centers have accurate inventory visibility. Review and reconcile inventory data between SAP, Retail Pro, and other planning systems. Troubleshoot inventory discrepancies and investigate data integrity issues. Maintain SKU information and ensure product records remain accurate. Support inventory replenishment and allocation activities across Canadian retail stores. Update planning reports and assist with forecasting activities. Collaborate with Distribution Centers, Finance, Planning, and Store Operations teams. Identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce manual work. What You Bring 2+ years of experience in inventory planning, merchandise planning, allocation planning, retail operations, or inventory analysis. Experience working with large datasets and maintaining data accuracy. Strong Excel skills, including filtering, sorting, lookups, and working with large spreadsheets. Experience updating purchase orders and product SKU information. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced retail environment. Comfortable learning new technology and business systems quickly.
