This classification level performs clerical work under immediate supervision in a county court under the supervision of a clerk magistrate, a clerk of court, or a division manager. Responsibilities may include: performing clerical functions in assigned service area civil/small claims by responding to routine inquiries; verifying files/information for missing details, accuracy, and distributing to appropriate staff for correction; preparing and processing motions; compiling and maintaining records by sorting, filing, scanning files and related documents; performing data entry, receiving fees/fines and other payments, and performing other general office duties.

Starting Salary: $ 35,264.16 annually (Hiring Rate). Immediate Growth: Earn a 2.5% pay increase after successfully completing your probation period (if starting at Hiring Rate). Starting Rate Flexibility: Higher starting pay may be considered based on education and experience, subject to final management approval. Please Note: Candidates approved to start above the Hiring Rate (at or above the Minimum Permanent rate) are not eligible for the 2.5% post-probation increase. Future Increases: Annual cost-of-living adjustments (applied on July 1) are subject to State Legislature approval.

Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.); or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. All educational credits must be granted from an accredited institution approved by the U.S. Dept. of Education.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities: Knowledge: Customer service principles; Computers and related software applications; Criminal coding concepts; Federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations; Office procedures, methods, and equipment; Data entry techniques; Criminal history information. Skills: Providing customer service; Maintaining records; Performing data entry; Operating standard office equipment; Using computers and related software applications; Reviewing reports for accuracy; Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.

Physical Requirements: Positions in this class work is primarily sedentary, although some slight physical effort may be required, not to exceed 20 LBS
