Dental Assistant

Our office, Capitol Center for OMFS - Concord, is seeking a talented Dental Assistant to join our busy specialty practice. This position also supports our satellite offices in Peterborough and Lebanon, NH. We are looking for a talented and skilled Dental Assistant to help us accomplish our mission to improve the lives of our patients by providing a world-class specialty experience for every patient. Your Responsibilities Welcoming patients to the dental office Preparing patients for treatment, ensuring their comfort Selecting and set up instruments, equipment, and supplies Sterilizing instruments according to regulations Assisting the dentist through 4-handed dentistry Providing oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions Keeping the dental room clean and well-stocked Scheduling appointments and post op visits Maintaining accurate patient records Able to travel to our Peterborough and Lebanon locations as needed Your Background You are a resourceful dental assistant who loves helping patients receive the experience they deserve and helping the Dentist to provide it. You also have the following: At least 1+ years of experience as a dental assistant, specialty is preferred Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods Understanding of health & safety regulations Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks Good computer skills Excellent communication and people skills A strong attention to detail Well-organized and reliable A high school diploma An active state X-Ray license (if required by law) preferred Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to operate standard office equipment Must be able to assist patients safely in and out of chairs or treatment areas Must be able to maintain clinical positioning for extended periods Must be able to work around medical equipment and instruments Must be able to adhere to OSHA and infection control standards Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist movements #J-18808-Ljbffr
