Director, Financial Planning & Analysis - Biotechnology
QUICK FACTS
Location: Open to remote or hybrid - San Diego, CA, 92127
Pay range: $210,000 - $240,000 annually + stock options and bonus
Shifts: Business Office Hours
Duration: Contract to hire

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION YOU WILL NEED

10+ years of finance experience with at least 5 in FP&A within biotech or pharma
Experience with Clinical Trials/Clinical Stage Companies
Proven ability with forecasting clinical-stage R&D programs, including CRO and clinical trial accruals
Strong financial modeling skills in Excel, ERP, and planning systems like NetSuite or Adaptive
Knowledge of US GAAP and experience preparing financials for leadership and Boards
Preferred: MBA, CPA, CFA; oncology or early-phase clinical development background

MAIN DUTIES OF THE JOB

Lead corporate planning, forecasting, and long-term financial strategies
Manage clinical trial financial models and vendor contract evaluations
Partner with leadership on budgets, cash flow, and strategic financial decisions
Prepare presentations and reports for senior management and investors
Support strategic projects including financings, acquisitions, and licensing
