About the Position

Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Room setting with an average daily census of 105 and approximately 135 visits per day
• Float to the Observation Unit to cover ER hold patients as needed
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic electronic health records
• Work 3 out of every 6 weekend shifts as part of the standard schedule
• Be available and willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's)
• Float within the facility or to nearby affiliate facilities as required by staffing needs

Required Qualifications

• Active, valid California RN license (no pending licenses accepted)
• Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Room nursing experience
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Willingness to float within the hospital or to nearby sister facilities
• 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years (references may include Charge RNs or Lead nurses)
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify under travel compliance guidelines

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience welcomed; first-time travelers are also encouraged to apply
• Familiarity with high-census, fast-paced emergency department environments
• Experience working in observation or ER hold unit settings
