Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack)

We’re looking for a mission‑driven Senior Software Engineer to help build the future of digital health insurance at Healia. In this role, you’ll work cross‑functionally with product, operations, and sales to build critical features and scale core parts of our platform. From backend APIs to frontend features, you’ll ship code that directly improves member reimbursement, customer experience, and our go‑to‑market function. This is an in-person (5 days/week in office) position based in Columbus, OH.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Feature Development: Own end-to-end delivery of critical features across the stack. Work closely with product and design to scope, build, test, and launch new functionality.
• System Architecture: Help define and implement the architecture of our core platform—balancing scalability, performance, and maintainability. We’re early‑stage, so your decisions will shape our technical foundation for years.
• Infrastructure & DevOps: Contribute to our CI/CD pipeline, observability stack, and deployment processes to ensure our systems are robust, secure, and performant.
• Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with clinical and operational teams to deeply understand user needs—and translate them into technical solutions that actually work in a healthcare setting.

You’ll be successful in this role if you…

• Have 5+ years of experience building full-stack production software in a fast‑paced environment.
• Are fluent in building dynamic web applications and are comfortable picking up new tools as needed.
• Have experience designing and building scalable APIs and data models.
• Care deeply about writing clean, tested, and maintainable code.
• Thrive in ambiguity and love working on rapidly growing products.
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Are excited by the challenge of improving health insurance through thoughtful, high‑impact technology.

Bonus points

• Familiarity with tools like TypeScript, React, NextJS, Postgres, and AWS.
