Experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Needed

We're hiring an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a hospital in Houston, TX. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating treatment, care, and needs of neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients with respiratory disorders. This role emphasizes neonatal intensive care and pediatric critical care, delivery room support, and advanced ventilator management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor's degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
• Current state respiratory therapy license in good standing.
• One year experience as an RRT.
• BLS certification.
• NICU and PICU experience required. Level 3 NICU experience or pediatric critical care experience required. Adult-only experience will not be considered.
• NRP and delivery experience required.
• Experience with neonatal and pediatric ventilators and equipment such as Crossvent, Airvo, Bunnell Jet, Drager VN500, Hamilton G5, Evolve Nitric Oxide systems, pneumotach/oscillators, and extracorporeal support familiarity preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

• PALS certification preferred.
• ACLS certification preferred in addition to required BLS.
• Experience performing neonatal/pediatric procedures such as intubations and surfactant administration preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 07:00–19:00.
• Patient ratio typically 7:1.
• Must be available to float to adult ICU, medical-surgical floors, Level 2–4 NICU, PICU, and pediatrics as needed.
• Time and attendance enforced; staff must be clocked in and ready for report by 06:37 or 18:37 depending on shift.
• Four weekend shifts required per four-week schedule.
