Elementary Minister Mosaic Church

Title: Elementary Minister Status: Full Time Location: Richardson, TX Supervisor: Family Ministry Director Start Date: August 1st The Mosaic Kids Elementary Minister will lead the elementary ministry (Kinder-5th Grade), including Sunday morning programming, resources, events, programs, calendar, department, etc. of Mosaic Kids Elementary and collaborate with the Family Ministry Team, including the Student Minister and Preschool Minister. Key Characteristics Organized and detail oriented Clear communicator Strong organizational leadership and management skills Theologically minded Heart for ministry and discipleship of families Flexible and collaborative Ability to prioritize competing projects and tasks Eager to train, equip, and develop key leaders and volunteers Team builder/manager Ability to plan, execute, and facilitate events Desire to serve and live locally in Richardson Shared Responsibilities Follows up with New Families/First Time Families who check in kids Oversees and leads out the execution of mid-service dismissal Maintains an organized closet of props and supplies for lessons Assists in the onboarding process for new volunteers and scheduling of volunteers Collaborates with Family Ministry team for family equipping, family discipleship events, and family ministry communication (calendar, newsletter, Family Discipleship Pathway, website, social media) Assist staff team in set up/tear down for church gatherings and events Participate in special services/lead out portions in worship gatherings Core Responsibilities Oversees and leads out the execution of Sunday morning Mosaic Kids Elementary Ministry Oversees the implementation of safety, policies, and procedures for Mosaic Kids Elementary Ministry in a mobile environmentMaintain a Scope and Sequence for Mosaic Kids Elementary Ministry curriculum Creates and implements developmentally appropriate activities that correspond with the liturgy Recruits, develops, and equips key leaders and volunteers in Mosaic Kids Elementary Ministry Plans, executes, and coordinates events for Mosaic Kids ministry specific to elementary (ex. father-son, mother-daughter, father-daughter, mother-son FDP, Family Baptism Class) Organizes and keeps track of digital files for Mosaic Kids Elementary Builds and provides monthly reporting dashboard for Mosaic Kids data Stays up to date with trends within our ministry and social context Seeks to continue personal, spiritual, and professional growth 1st Year Projects Develop deacon and leadership team for Mosaic Kids Elementary Ministry Maintain newer MK Sunday additions of interactive/engaging skits and songs for MK large groups. Develop the MK age division split between K-3rd Graders and 4th-5th Graders on Sundays. Evaluate curriculum for Mosaic Kids Elementary Ministry in alignment with Family Ministry Scope and Sequence Develop tangible plan and milestone for hand-off to Students Ministry Develop summer discipleship plan and opportunities for families with elementary aged children Reach Responsibilities Maintains awareness of resources and opportunities for children and families in care-required situations Recruits, develops, and trains volunteers for registration/hospitality team in collaboration with Family Ministry team Recruits, develops, and trains volunteers for music team in collaboration with Family Ministry team and Worship Minister Recruits, develops, and trains buddies for Special Needs/Disability Ministry in collaboration with Family Ministry team Qualifications 1 Timothy 3:8-13 A history of leadership and service within the church 2-3 years with direct supervision and engagement of children Strong organizational skills, ability to work independently and manage multiple projects Self starter and highly self motivated Excellent time management Able to teach elementary aged children biblically and in an engaging manner Able to lead volunteers effectively and engage with families in a meaningful way Able to develop and edit curriculum for elementary aged children #J-18808-Ljbffr Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary
