WHAT YOU'LL DO

Diagnose and repair Buick and GMC vehicles across a full range of systems -- engine, transmission, brakes, electrical, suspension, HVAC, four-wheel drive, and beyond -- using GM diagnostic platforms and OEM procedures Perform multi-point inspections and develop accurate repair plans -- communicating findings clearly to service advisors to support guest authorization Execute repairs to GM factory specifications with speed, accuracy, and zero shortcuts Complete repair orders accurately -- documenting all work performed and parts used with precision Stay current on GM technical service bulletins, software updates, and manufacturer repair procedures Perform test drives to validate diagnostic conclusions and confirm repair quality before vehicle return Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation throughout every shift Contribute to a shop culture where quality, accountability, and craftsmanship are the baseline

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

2+ years of flat-rate technician experience in a franchised dealership -- required GM or domestic brand experience strongly preferred -- Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, Cadillac, Ford, Ram, or similar backgrounds a strong advantage; import technicians with strong fundamentals welcome Strong diagnostic foundation -- able to work through multi-system problems accurately and efficiently, including 4WD and Alaska-specific wear patterns GM diagnostic platform experience -- GDS2 or equivalent preferred ASE certifications a strong plus -- GM factory certifications highly valued Low comeback rate and a quality standard you own Physically capable of performing the demands of the role throughout the shift in Alaska conditions Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
