Job Title

Respiratory Therapist – Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics

Location

Charlottesville, VA | Acute Care (Children's Hospital)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 or 26 weeks) | Days | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:00) | Expected 36 or 48 hours/week | Every other weekend, every other holiday; must work 2 of 3 winter holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services within a children's hospital setting, including Neuro Diagnostics
• Deliver care in a Level 4 NICU environment, managing complex neonatal respiratory needs
• Support patients in a Cardiac PICU setting as applicable
• Float within scope of practice to other units as needed
• Participate in a self-scheduling model, working collaboratively with unit leadership to meet staffing needs

Required Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required
• BLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Active Virginia RT license required; pending license accepted provided a temporary license can be obtained before start date — candidate must hold a license in at least one other state to be eligible for a Virginia temporary license
• Minimum Level 4 NICU experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must not exceed 365 total assignment days at this facility; travelers who have reached this limit are not eligible to return regardless of time away

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Cardiac PICU experience preferred
• Adult Critical Care Specialist (ACCS) certification preferred
