Job Purpose

An EMI Attendant is responsible for learning the NDT inspection method in accordance to Standard Operating Procedures. This position is responsible for marking all materials inspected in accordance to the quality standards set by SeAH Steel USA, LLC. This position will require working within the organization’s goals and team structure and contribution to the Overall Safety Program. Cross trains within the different inspection methods and assists the Level I and Level II inspectors.

Duties & Responsibilities

 Assist Level I and level II inspectors.

 Performs all applicable functions as per procedures.

 Properly mark pipe according to identification procedures.

 Maintain his/her area clean.

 Operate conveyors to move material as needed.

 He/she may be required to magnetically charge the pipe for subsequent inspections.

 Other duties as assigned

Qualifications / Competencies

 Education:

o High School Diploma or GED.

 Years of Experience :

o 1 year experience as an Attendant or pipe yard worker.

 Job Knowledge:

o At least Knowledge and experience within the OCTG pipe inspection industry is preferable.

o Successful completion of pre-screen drug test and physical.

 Personal Competencies:

o Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

 Safety:

o Understands all applicable location safety rules and regulations and makes sure that all are being followed.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

 Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.

Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted on site.

 The ability to lift 25/50 pounds regularly.

 The ability to respond quickly to sounds.

 The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.

 The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations.

 The ability to safely climb ladders while carrying 40 pounds.

 The ability to work in loud, hot environments/extreme weather while wearing required PPE.

 Ability to see 20-20 when corrected.

 Ability to identify and distinguish colors.
