Preschool Cook
Location: The Learning Experience Meridian, ID
Pay: $16$17 per hour
Schedule: MondayFriday | 7:30 AM4:30 PM

Preschool Cook Early Childhood Education Center

The Learning Experience Meridian is seeking a dependable and organized Preschool Cook to prepare nutritious meals and snacks for children in our early childhood education center. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys cooking, values food safety, and takes pride in supporting children's health and well-being.

As our Preschool Cook, you will play an important role in creating a positive mealtime experience for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers while helping maintain a safe and welcoming environment for children and staff.

What You'll Do

• Plan, prepare, and serve daily meals and snacks that meet nutritional guidelines
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and storage procedures
• Monitor food allergies and dietary restrictions to ensure child safety
• Communicate menu information and allergy alerts with teaching staff
• Maintain food inventory and assist with ordering supplies
• Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and inspection-ready
• Ensure compliance with Idaho licensing requirements and health regulations
• Collaborate with center leadership to support daily center operations

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 1 year of food preparation, cooking, or kitchen experience preferred
• Food Handler Permit required or ability to obtain upon hire
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Reliable and comfortable working in a childcare environment
