Field Service Engineer II (Burlington/Central NC)

Outset Medical seeks a Field Service Engineer II to install, maintain, and repair Tablo Hemodialysis Systems at customer and patient locations across the central NC region. The role requires strong technical troubleshooting skills and cross-functional collaboration with internal teams and clinical staff.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair Tablo Dialysis Systems at clinical facilities and patient homes
• Perform preventative maintenance including calibrations, hardware/software upgrades, and system verification
• Provide first and second-level technical support including after-hours and weekend coverage
• Document service activities, manage spare parts inventory, and report equipment failures and usage
• Collaborate with R&D, marketing, sales, and engineering teams to support product improvement and demonstrations

Requirements

• Associate degree in electrical, electronics, mechanical, or fluidics engineering (or military equivalent)
• 5+ years of field service or industrial equipment experience
• Knowledge of electronic and mechanical systems troubleshooting
• Ability to work independently and manage customer relationships professionally
• Willingness to travel extensively throughout the United States with overnight stays
• Strong documentation skills and familiarity with quality management systems
