Position Summary

G-III Apparel Group is currently seeking a CAD Designer to join the DKNY Design team based in New York City.

The CAD Designer will support the development of original prints, graphics, and artwork across seasonal collections. This role will partner closely with Design, Production, and external vendors to translate creative direction into production-ready artwork while maintaining the DKNY brand aesthetic and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with the Design team to create and develop original prints, patterns, graphics, and artwork for seasonal collections.
\n
• Translate creative concepts into production-ready CAD artwork and technical layouts.
\n
• Develop multiple colorways, scales, repeats, and print variations.
\n
• Create cost-effective print layouts suitable for bulk production.
\n
• Support seasonal color direction and print strategy alongside the Design team.
\n
• Prepare artwork files and specifications for mills and vendors.
\n
• Communicate with mills to support the timely development of strike-offs and sample yardage.
\n
• Review strike-offs, artwork submissions, and print samples for color, scale, layout, and accuracy.
\n
• Review artwork from external studios and manage purchased artwork assets.
\n
• Partner with Production and external vendors to ensure accurate execution of artwork through production.
\n
• Maintain and organize the art library and digital asset files.
\n
• Support copyright tracking and maintain artwork documentation.
\n
• Assist with the creation of sales tools, presentations, and visual assets for market appointments as needed.
\n
• Support adherence to seasonal development calendars and deadlines.
\n
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Design, Production, Merchandising, and other partners throughout the product development process.
\n
• Manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
\n

Qualifications

\n
• Minimum of 7+ years of CAD design experience within women’s fashion.
\n
• Strong background in textile design, print development, and apparel graphics.
\n
• Experience within women’s sportswear, contemporary apparel, or related categories preferred.
\n
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
\n
• Strong understanding of textile printing techniques, mill processes, and production workflows.
\n
• Experience developing production-ready artwork and working directly with mills and vendors.
\n
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
\n
• Experience working within a high-SKU volume environment preferred.
\n
• Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, Graphic Design, or a related field preferred.

Compensation

The pay for this position is $90,000 per year .

This compensation reflects G-III Apparel Group’s good-faith assessment of the salary for this position at the time of posting and is provided in accordance with the New York City Salary Transparency Law. Final compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
