Primary School Teacher – Permanent Position Location: Newport, South Wales Contract: Full-time, Permanent Hours: 32.5 hours per week Start Date: September 2026 Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting on behalf of a local primary school in the Newport area to support their appointment of a permanent Classroom Teacher. The Role: As a Classroom Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons, creating a positive learning environment, and supporting pupils to achieve their full potential. While the role may initially be based within Progression Step 1/2, applications are welcomed from teachers with experience and confidence across the 3–11 age range. Key Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences for primary-aged pupils. Create an engaging, inclusive, and creative learning environment. Plan and deliver lessons that support the academic, social, and emotional development of all pupils. Assess pupil progress and adapt teaching approaches to meet individual needs. Build positive relationships with pupils, families, colleagues, and the wider school community. Contribute to school improvement priorities and the continued development of teaching standards. Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing, and a culture of high expectations. Work collaboratively as part of a dedicated teaching team. Works effectively as part of a team and acts as a positive role model. Qualifications and Experience: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Experience teaching within a primary school setting. Strong knowledge of the Curriculum for Wales. Commitment to continuous professional development.
