Full-time contract shift: 19:00–07:30 (night shift) includes every other weekend and some holidays.

Position overview: We are seeking experienced emergency department RNs for night shifts in our adult ED. The ideal candidate will have experience caring for both adult and pediatric patients in a high-acuity environment. Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience and familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records are preferred.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and pediatric patients in the emergency department.
• Perform thorough patient assessments and implement individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses to treatment.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC EMR.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Uphold infection control and patient safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Current New York state RN license in good standing.
• BLS certification required; must be able to maintain certification.
• Minimum 1.5 years recent experience (within past 2 years) in an acute care facility of similar size and level as the hospital.
• Travel nurses must have experience in hospitals of equal or greater size or trauma centers.
• Experience with EPIC EMR preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must not have had professional license or certification suspended or investigated.
• Must not have been named as a defendant in a professional liability claim.
• Legal right to work in the U.S. and successful completion of pre-employment health clearance, drug screening, and criminal background check.
