Registered Nurse (RN) ENDO

An Endoscopy Registered Nurse provides care for patients undergoing gastrointestinal procedures such as colonoscopies and endoscopies. This role involves patient preparation, sedation administration, and close observation during procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare endoscopy suite and ensure proper functioning of equipment.
• Assist the physician during procedures, handling scopes and instruments.
• Monitor patient vital signs and sedation levels, intervening as needed.
• Provide pre- and post-procedure education regarding recovery and follow-up.
• Maintain sterile technique and strict infection control protocols.

Work Environment:

• Primarily in endoscopy or GI labs within hospitals or outpatient clinics.
• Often involves scheduled procedures but may include emergent cases.
• Focuses on patient comfort, safety, and education.
