RN MedSurg Surgical Trauma Nights

Position Overview Location: UCHealth Memorial Hospital Central, Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States. Department: Surgical Trauma. Work Schedule: Part Time, 48.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks). Shift: Nights. Pay: $35.29 - $54.71 per hour, dependent on relevant experience. Onsite only; no hybrid or remote option. Minimum Requirements (Acute Care MedSurg) Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years experience (Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing). State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider and any relevant life‑support certification as required. 6 months of nursing (RN) experience. BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in‑hand before start date; BLS or CPR card must be valid within 60 days of hire. Responsibilities Provides top scope practice in direct patient care utilizing the nursing process. Values a multidisciplinary team approach to achieve exceptional outcomes. Prioritizes wellness, a patient perspective and evidence‑based practice. Models proficiency through precepting new staff and/or UCHealth staff. Welcomes new knowledge in a fast‑paced, innovative clinical environment. Contributes to secure safety and quality at the point of care. Acute Care (MedSurg) Direct care includes specialty Acute Care (Med‑Surg) units of moderate to high patient acuity. AMS​N's core curriculum and various specialty certification standards are integrated into evidence‑based care models for each unit.
