Sr Warehouse Specialist Full Time Kaman Air Vehicles, Bloomfield, CT, US 3 days ago Requisition ID: 1773 Salary Range: $34.00 To $39.00 Hourly Kaman Air Vehicles is seeking a Sr Warehouse Specialist at our Bloomfield, CT location. Candidate must have a thorough understanding of complex warehouse operations, including inventory control, shipping/receiving, and team mentoring to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Utilize Kaman’s ERP/WMS systems, optimize workflows, and uphold safety compliance. Typical duties include advanced inventory analysis, forklift operation, and coordinating logistics with external partners. Hours will be 7:00 am- 3:30 pm, with opportunity for overtime. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Coordinate receiving, picking, packing, and shipping; manage complex logistics, including international and government shipments. Manage cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, and maintain accurate records within warehouse management systems. Optimize space utilization and workflow, applying lean principles to increase efficiency. Manage multiple stockrooms, including self / bin setup and maintenance, select stock for issue to sales orders and BOM’s. Train new hires and provide informal leadership, overseeing workflow to meet metrics. Ensure adherence to OSHA, FAA, DOT and company safety protocols. Coordinate with carriers for inbound/outbound shipments and track equipment Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent. 5 + years in warehousing, logistics, or inventory control, aerospace is a plus Ability to read and follow work instructions. Proficiency in ERP systems as well as MS Office. Preferred Qualifications High accuracy in managing records, manifests, and inventory data. Ability to resolve scheduling, shipment, and inventory discrepancies. Effective communication with internal teams, vendors, and management Certification and proficiency with forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand tools. Physical Requirements Ability to stand/walk for extended periods; frequent bending, reaching. Ability to lift and push up to 50 lbs., occasionally higher. Ability to wear required PPE (gloves, eye protection etc.) Work Environment and Safety Work is performed in warehouse setting where adherence to safety, environmental, and quality procedures is mandatory. Employees may handle adhesives, resins, solvents and power tools and will be expected to follow PPE and safe handling practices. Maintain clean and organized work areas, ensure proper storage/handling of chemicals and composite materials, follow waste disposal requirements, and stop work for unsafe conditions.
