The Manager Labor and Delivery will oversee a dynamic Labor and Delivery unit within a comprehensive Family Birth Center that also includes Postpartum and Mother-Baby services. This growing Women’s Services division reflects s a trusted regional healthcare leader recognized for compassionate, high-quality care, clinical excellence, and a strong commitment to patient-centered service. The department manages a diverse acuity level, supporting routine births as well as higher-risk obstetric cases, and emphasizes family-centered care, safety, and positive birth experiences. The Manager Labor and Delivery will play a vital role in maintaining quality metrics, enhancing patient satisfaction, and advancing maternal-child health outcomes across the continuum of care.
Reporting to senior nursing leadership, the Manager Labor and Delivery will provide operational oversight, fiscal management, quality improvement leadership, and strategic planning for the unit. The role is supported by charge nurses, experienced RNs, lactation consultants, educators, and an engaged interdisciplinary team including obstetricians, midwives, anesthesiologists, pediatric providers, and surgical staff. The
Manager Labor and Delivery will mentor and develop a team of friendly, highly skilled nurses while fostering a collaborative, respectful, and inclusive culture. Responsibilities include staffing optimization, regulatory compliance, performance improvement initiatives, and championing evidence-based maternity practices that ensure safe, compassionate patient care.
