Work Schedule: 3 days per week, 7p-7a/Rotating Weekends

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in line with the requirements of the department and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Collaborating with medical providers and the care team, you will provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, following established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." You will also act as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organizations vision, mission, and values to ensure an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.

What You Will Do In Your Role:

• You will respond to all RRTs (Rapid Response calls), Code Blue, Code Sepsis, Code STEMI, and Code Stroke.
• You will take on the role of educator and provide support and education to staff as needed.
• You will communicate daily with each charge nurse to identify high-risk patients.
• You will facilitate debriefings/critiques post codes.
• You will complete 24-hours post-RRT/Code Blue follow up and documentation.
• You will lead and facilitate RRT/Code Blue Committee.

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing is required. BSN is preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date).
• Current BLS and ACLS Certification are required.
• NIHSS Stroke Scale Certification required.
• PALS preferred; required after six months completion in position.
• CCRN, CNRN, and/or CEN preferred, required after six months completion in position.
• 2-years of clinical ER or ICU experience as a licensed RN required
